nemt win PLAY4MONEY #5

Danish mix team nemt came out on top of PLAY4MONEY #5, an online tournament that was held yesterday. However, the last match was interrupted by DDoS problems, so the second map of the final was played tonight in secrecy. In the end it was nemt that won 16-13 on de_nuke, and despite of losing 9-16 on de_inferno yesterday, they clinched the first place thanks to coming from the upper bracket.
A new series of online tournaments recently popped up named PLAY4MONEY, organized by two familiar names in the community, players of Anexis Danny "BERRY" Krüger and Jonas "zanoj" Velling.
Their fifth cup took place yesterday and it featured the most interesting team list they've been able to gather so far, including names such as KerchNET, zNation, Karont3, DELTA, dotpiXels as well as many mix teams with known players.
Although not a lot of prize money was on the line with 200 euros, many interesting matches took place, and we saw some surprising results. The most unexpected of all was the fall of KerchNET to two German squads, firstly to dotpiXels in the upper bracket quarter-final 5-16 on de_forge, and later to a team called Terrifying 16-8 on de_inferno.
Another one of the favorites, zNation, had quite a good run in the tournament despite of losing to nemt on overtime 15-19 in the upper semi-final, but they were stopped by Hellslayers in the lower bracket final which made them 4th placed overall.
Therefore, in the end it was three unexpected teams in the fight for first place, with Hellslayers dropping out first to Underdog$ 16-6 on de_train in the consolidation final, although in a match filled with DDoS problems for the Swedish squad as they were forced to use 7 different players.
That left Underdog$ with a new chance to beat nemt, after they lost upper bracket final to the same team 16-3 on de_tuscan. This time they would need two maps to claim first place, and they started off well, winning de_inferno 16-9. However, in the second map de_nuke, DDoS problems started again and before even finishing the first half the teams decided to stop the match. They tried playing out the second map on a different server, but the problems continued, so they postponed it until further notice.
Today they succeeded in playing out the second map, starting from scratch, although hidden from the eyes of the public to avoid possible problems. It turned out to be a close affair, with nemt coming out on top 16-13, although they had the game in hand for a while after leading 15-9 at one point.
