Astralis to BLAST EU Spring Showdown grand final over NIP

The Danes bested Ninjas in Pyjamas in two maps to set up a spot-deciding grand final against ENCE.
Astralis have advanced to the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown Europe grand final after convincingly defeating Hampus "hampus" Poser's squad 2-0, taking their map pick Nuke 16-11, and Mirage, 16-1. Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander's side will face off against ENCE on Sunday for a spot at the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Final.

The series kicked off on Nuke, where Ninjas in Pyjamas and Astralis were nearly inseparable early on, as the Danes narrowly led their opponents 4-3 after seven rounds of play. hampus' squad almost stole the eighth from Astralis on a full-eco, before a heroic ace clutch from Benjamin "blameF" Bremer denied them what would have been their fourth round on the board as Astralis took two more rounds to garner a 7-3 lead. Ninjas in Pyjamas closed out the half strong, racking up four of the last five rounds to reduce their deficit and head into halftime down 7-8.
It was a dominant showing from Astralis after the switch, as the Danes quickly found themselves holding map point at 15-8, with Ninjas in Pyjamas having only scoring a single round as the attackers by then. Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin and company refused to give up and fought back valiantly, managing to score three consecutive rounds before Astralis were able to fend off the potential comeback and close out Nuke, 16-11.
Astralis opened Mirage impressively as their defense kept Ninjas in Pyjamas at bay, shutting down their opponents' attempts to take site and establishing a 5-0 lead. Ninjas in Pyjamas were able to take the sixth round to get themselves on the board, however gla1ve's squad continued to play nearly flawless defense accompanied by standout fragging from Asger "Farlig" Jensen and blameF as they completely dominated on their CT side, amassing a 14-1 lead entering the break. Even as both teams swapped sides, the lead was insurmountable for Ninjas in Pyjamas as Astralis wasted no time wrapping up the map 16-1, and the series 2-0 to book their place in the grand final.
